Italian Casserole Novice / Beginner

Enjoy this one dish meal when the family is busy going to ballgames and soccer practice. Great reheated for a meal later in the week.

Ingredients

3/4 pound lean ground beef
1   onion, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can Tuttorosso® Italian Style Peeled Plum Shaped Tomatoes in tomato juice
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  Salt and black pepper to taste
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 (8 ounce) package wide egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 (12 ounce) package cheddar cheese singles

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350o F. In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion. Stir inTUTTOROSSO® ITALIAN STYLE PEELED PLUM SHAPEDTOMATOES in Tomato Juice, tomato paste, salt, black pepper, parsley and garlic salt, simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
  • In a 2 quart casserole dish, combine noodles and tomato mixture. Top with cheese slices and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
