Ingredients
| 1 | pound | boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into pieces | ||
| 1 | teaspoon | extra virgin olive oil | ||
| 1/4 | cup | chopped green onions | ||
| 1 | (28 ounce) can | Tuttorosso® Crushed Tomatoes in thick puree with basil | ||
| 1 | (4 ounce) can | sliced mushrooms | ||
| 3/4 | teaspoon | garlic salt | ||
| 1/2 | teaspoon | black pepper | ||
| 1 | teaspoon | dried oregano |
Directions:
- Using a 10-inch skillet, lightly brown chicken pieces in oil over medium heat. Remove the chicken. In the same pan, cook the green onions until tender.
- Add TUTTOROSSO® CRUSHED TOMATOES in thick puree with basil, mushrooms, garlic salt, pepper and oregano. Stir to blend.
- Return chicken pieces to skillet and simmer, covered for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve over cooked vermicelli or spaghetti.
