Chicken Cacciatore Novice / Beginner

Ingredients

1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into pieces
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 (28 ounce) can Tuttorosso® Crushed Tomatoes in thick puree with basil
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano

Directions:

  • Using a 10-inch skillet, lightly brown chicken pieces in oil over medium heat. Remove the chicken. In the same pan, cook the green onions until tender.
  • Add TUTTOROSSO® CRUSHED TOMATOES in thick puree with basil, mushrooms, garlic salt, pepper and oregano. Stir to blend.
  • Return chicken pieces to skillet and simmer, covered for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve over cooked vermicelli or spaghetti.
