Do you have national distribution?
Red Gold is a family owned and operated company. We have not established national distribution of our branded products at this time.
Does your company offer factory tours to the public?
At this time, we do not offer public tours through our facilities. We encourage you to “tour” our web site. The web site provides valuable information about our company, as well as interesting photographs. Enjoy a short video that takes you on a mini-tour of Red Gold. Click Here
My local stores do not sell your products. How can I get them?
We encourage our consumers to ask their local grocery store manager to place a special order. Some stores are willing and able to do so. Product can be shipped directly to the consumer by clicking the SHOP ONLINE link, available on each page of the website.
Since you only produce tomato products, do you shut down your facilities during the off-season?
No. We produce fresh products during our three month harvest season, and we make products from concentrate the remainder of the year.
Where can I buy your products in bulk or for discounted prices?
We have a Factory Outlet store located at 451 North 9th Street, Elwood Indiana. The store is open Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00AM-12:00PM and 12:30PM to 4:30PM. Product can be shipped directly to the consumer by clicking the SHOP ONLINE link, available on each page of the website.
Operations
I have a great recipe for sauce/salsa/ketchup/etc. Can you work with me to package it, or will you buy it from me?
While we understand your recipes are very important to you and your family, we do not produce products for individuals. If you would like to share your recipe with us, it becomes the property of Red Gold LLC.
What part of the country are your tomatoes grown?
Red Gold is proud of its Midwest heritage. A team of nearly 60 professional growers farm 13,000 acres of tomatoes for Red Gold, all grown within an average of a 100-mile radius of the manufacturing facilities.
Product Ingredients
Are there nutrients that aren’t listed on the back panel of the label?
There are too many nutrients to list all of them on the nutrition facts panel. All of our "branded” labels include the government’s mandatory labeling requirements for nutrition.
Are your products certified Kosher?
Red Gold has three processing facilities located in Orestes, Elwood and Geneva, Indiana. All three facilities are Kosher certified by the Orthodox Union.
Do your products contain gluten?
Our products generally do not contain wheat, oat, barley, or rye. Ingredients containing one of these, such as flour, would be specifically identified in the ingredient statement on the back panel. Products with corn sweeteners may contain corn gluten. We highly recommend that you contact your physician for further advice as to the consumption of products in question.
Do your products contain MSG?
No, our products do not contain MSG.
What is lycopene?
Lycopene is the pigment that gives tomatoes their red color. Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant that occurs naturally in tomatoes and processed tomato products.
What products contain seeds?
Any of our products that contain a piece of tomato, such as whole peeled, diced, crushed or stewed will also contain seeds.

How do I determine the expiration date?
Before we can decide the expiration date, we must first determine the production date. Please submit the numbers from the end of the can or side of the bottle or jar to Contact Us, so that we may help you. However, most of our products carry a "best used by date".
Is it safe to use tomato products if the can is bulging or swollen?
Never open or use a can that is bulging or swollen.
What is the shelf life of canned tomato products after they have been opened?
We recommend that you store canned tomato products and juices in a sealed plastic or glass container, for no more than 7 days in the refrigerator.
What is the shelf life of unopened canned tomato products?
All plastic ketchup containers – Recommended 14 month shelf life All plastic juice bottle - Recommended 18 months self life
6oz and 8oz cans – Recommended 24 month shelf life (2 years)
14.5 oz cans and larger – Recommended 30 month shelf life
All glass containers – Recommended 30 month shelf life
Please keep in mind that processed tomato products do not have the rigid shelf life of other perishable foods. They do not go “bad” on their expiration date, but the freshness may be compromised.
