Italian Bow Ties Dinner Novice / Beginner

Great convenience in this meal – its flavor might remind you of ravioli. This recipe can also be enjoyed as a left-over for dinner later in the week.

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 (8 ounce) can Red Gold® Tomato Sauce
1 (12 ounce) can Red Gold® Tomato Paste
1 (14.5 ounce) can Red Gold® Stewed Tomatoes
or 1 (14.5 ounce) can Red Gold® Petite Diced Tomatoes with Onion, Celery & Green Pepper
1 (15 ounce) cans beef broth
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 (16 ounce) package bow ties pasta, cooked and drained
1 (10 ounce) package frozen green beans, thawed and drained
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

  • In a large skillet brown ground beef, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain well. Stir in RED GOLD® TOMATO SAUCE, RED GOLD® TOMATO PASTE, RED GOLD® STEWED TOMATOES, salt and black pepper.
  • Simmer for 20 minutes to blend flavors. Stir in pasta, green beans and cheese. Cover and cook an additional 10 minutes to heat through and melt cheese.
