What:  Marsh Supermarkets and Red Gold will participate in the Food For All food industry crusade against hunger by delivering over 14 tons of food products to Gleaners food bank located at 1102 East 16th Street, Indianapolis.

Connie Gardner, Marsh Sr. Director of Community Relations and Colt Reichart, Red Gold Brands Territory Sales Manager will present the donation to Pamela Altmeyer, President and CEO of Gleaners. 

All 104 Marsh locations are participating in the Food For All crusade against hunger by offering $1.00, $3.00 and $5.00 donation slips at each cash register.  Customers can conveniently choose to make a donation as they check out.  The majority of the funds collected are distributed to local food banks in the communities served by Marsh.  The donation drive began on October 26, 2008 and will conclude on January 3, 2009. 

“The Food For All campaign offers our customers a simple way to make a difference in their own neighborhood this holiday season,” commented Connie Gardner, Marsh Sr. Director of Community Relations.  “The upcoming food product delivery to Gleaners shows that each donation of $1.00, $3.00 or $5.00 makes a big impact locally.” 

“Red Gold is pleased to assist Marsh in their Food For All program.  We hope this donation will help aid our local Indiana communities, providing meals for needy Hoosier families throughout the holiday season,” stated Brian Reichart, CEO/President of Red Gold.  As part of this joint donation with Marsh Supermarkets, Red Gold is contributing over three tons of tomato products to Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana.  Since teaming up with the Indianapolis Colts in 2003, Red Gold has donated over 300,000 pounds of tomato products through their Red Gold Red Zone food donations program.
