Life at Red Gold

E3
Employees Experiencing Excellence
A chance to get involved…a way to make a change

Our Goals
Improve Employee Morale
Enhance physical and emotional ability to work
Enhance employee recruitment and retention

E3 teams were established in 2000, in response to a quality of work life survey conducted at all of our locations.  Employees wanted to make a difference by being involved in decisions that might affect job satisfaction and their balanced life.

To date, nearly one-third of our employees have participated on an E3 team, which have created or improved many programs at Red Gold.  Our E3 teams have authored their own attendance policy and recognition program.  They have worked hand-in-hand with Human Resources regarding job selection and wellness ideas.  Everyone at Red Gold now receives an employee-written company newsletter and a Monday morning character message, because of the efforts of an E3 team.  A New Employee Orientation Team welcomes every new hire with a plant tour, followed by a question and answer session, given by a co-worker.  Lastly, these teams are highly involved with community, as well as peer-to-peer philanthropy.  Along with sponsoring such endeavors as literacy tutors, toys for gift drives, and area women’s shelters and nursing facilities, they also conduct carry-in dinners, distribute treats during the workday and sponsor fun themed days celebrating sporting events, just to name a few.

E3 is a great way for our employees to meet and interact with one another. What might be a small idea can turn into a big beneficial one, with the help of a team. Participation is the critical key to sucess with our Employees Experiencing Excellence programs.
