CAREERS & WORK LIFE
Live It Up!
The Midwest’s greatest strength may be the easy access the countryside has to the city (and vice-versa). More than 1,100 Red Gold employees work at facilities in the small towns of Orestes, Geneva, Alexandria and Elwood. Many of them choose to live in the same communities where they work. Indiana’s cost of living is significantly lower than the national average. Money goes further here, helping you to provide a better standard of living for yourself and your family.
Even those who choose to live in a small community, or a fair-sized suburban city, need a touch of urbanity in their lives on occasion. Indiana’s capital city is less than an hour’s drive away. As the nation’s 12th largest city, Indianapolis offers recreations ranging from shopping (including Nordstrom, Crate & Barrel and Saks Fifth Avenue), to dining (at nationally-famous steakhouses, or neighborhood-famous diners), to professional sports (think Colts, Pacers and a little event called the Indianapolis 500), to concerts and seasonal festivals of every kind. Our central location permits quick, out-of-state weekend trips to fun venues such as Chicago, Louisville and Cincinnati.
