Welcome to Tomato Country
Where do tomatoes come from? Fortunate tomatoes grow up in Tomato Country. Everything about the “Heartland” helps a tomato’s case: the amount of rain, the number of sunny days, the makeup of the soil, the angle of the sun, even the freeze/thaw cycle in early spring, which loosens the soil for the sake of the tender roots.
Here you can meet some people who care for our tomatoes, see how those tomatoes are doing right now and feel, we hope, very welcome.

HOW THE TOMATOES ARE DOING
And so it begins......this seedling has become firmly established in the rich Midwestern soil that has traditionally grown some of the best tasting tomatoes in the country. The first flower of more than 100, yet to come on this plant, has opened and is ready to begin the flowering cycle that will continue for the next 30 days.
